NewsScotland to Strenghthen Female Circumcision LawFriday 9th July 2004Our correspondent writes: The Scotsman has reported that the Scottish Parlament is to increase the penalties for female circumcision. It will become a crime to take a girl from Scotland to another country for circumcision. Westminster has already passed similar legislation for the rest of the United Kingdom. |
