The Bathmate HydroXtreme caught my eye as since it’s advertised as a premium penis pump that offers the safety of FDA approval.

After using this product for a couple months I’m more than pleased although there’s a bunch of things I want to cover regarding my progress.

When I got used to the pressure, my Bathmate HydroXtreme pumping sessions felt amazing. Almost like a daily massage. I started looking forward to my time spent in the pump.

My Experience With Bathmate HydroXtreme7

What I Liked

Even though I’ve only been using this product for three months, my Bathmate HydroXtreme7 experience has been nothing less than incredible. Immediately upon unboxing it was clear that this is a sleek, high-quality hydro penis pump built to last.

An unexpected bonus was the discreet shipping package, I didn’t even realize my HydroXtreme arrived until I opened it later in the day.

Bathmate is the most well-known hydro penis pump manufacturer, having sold millions of pumps since 2004. Bathmate HydroXtreme is one of the company’s most popular models… for good reason.

It features everything I’d expect from a top hydro pump, and more. I also got a slew of accessories to help me sanitize and care for my new bathmate hydro pump.

Takeaway: The easy-to-use design & comfortable feeling made me realize HydroXtreme is designed with the customer in mind.

My Size Gains

I was initially skeptical that ANY device could increase penis size, permanently or temporarily, but I was surprised within the first week when I started seeing size gains. According to a 2013 medical study, penis pumps “increase blood inflow directly into the penis“.[1]

With that being said, my initial gains were probably related to increased bloodflow. One thing is certain though – after my first penis pumping session my dick was more plump and after the first week, my flaccid penis size had noticeably increased.

I continued my routine and the results kept getting better by the day.

Takeaway: After three weeks of using the Bathmate HydroXtreme, I started feeling more confident in the bedroom with my lady friends.

Around the one month mark I began to notice my erection quality improve, which was difficult for me to believe at first. I didn’t think anything was wrong with my erections before using the Bathmate HydroXtreme, and I don’t have erectile dysfunction.

My Favorite Part About the Bathmate HydroXtreme

When I purchased the HydroXtreme7, I assumed that the only difference between the HydroXtreme model and other Bathmate hydro pumps was the hand ball pump accessory. I was wrong.

Penis pump safety is my main priority, so my favorite feature was the quick release valve mechanism. The pressure valve has a slightly pitted grove which is located where the handball pump hose attaches (to create an airtight seal).

The valve’s easy to access release mechanism gave me an added sense of safety. I never felt like my penis was in danger because pressure is released immediately whenever I pushed the valve cap.

There’s also a black silicone piece located in the center of the cap. The silicone seal allows the HydroXtreme to maintain a better watertight bond compared to other Bathmate hydro pumps.

Takeaway: When I got used to the feeling, the pressure felt amazing, almost like a daily massage.

What I Didn't Like About This Penis Pump

Despite what I’ve experienced so far, nothing’s perfect. The Bathmate HydroXtreme has some aspects that could be improved upon. For example, I found the grip tension required to use the handball pump physically demanding and difficult to squeeze during long pumping sessions.

While the package comes with many great accessories and extras, I still believe that the HydroXtreme offers better comfort and pressure compared to the Hydromax Series. Testing the Hydro7 and HydroXtreme7 side by side reveals an even more noticeable difference.

From my perspecitive, there’s only a few reasons to not consider buying a HydroXtreme:

Price,
Privacy required for regular use,
Huge pump size (difficult for stealth),
Your penis has a curve more than 20 degrees.

Bathmate is a leader in the penis pump industry for a reason, but penis pumps aren’t a magic pill that fix all your problems.

If you can handle the price the HydroXtreme line of penis pumps, it’s definitely a step up from the Hydromax! Among all the water and air pumps I’ve tried and tested, the HydroXtreme stands out as the best penis pump I’ve used.

Begin by taking a warm shower or bath to relax your body and ensure optimal blood flow to the penis.
Fill the HydroXtreme pump with warm water, making sure the comfort insert is in place at the open end of the pump.
While standing or sitting in a comfortable position, insert your penis into the pump, positioning the open end against your body. Make sure the device is sealed and secure to prevent water leakage.
Begin pumping by pressing the pump against your body, expelling water through the release valve located at the top. This action creates a vacuum, which in turn causes your penis to expand within the chamber.

HydroXtreme's Hand Ball Pump Accessory

The hand ball pump is a major selling point that sets the HydroXtreme apart from other penis pumps in the Bathmate Hydro lineup. It’s the only accessory that isn’t sold separately in Bathmate’s entire product line, so you can only get it with the purchase a HydroXtreme.

You can hold the ball directly against the Bathmate release valve or connect it with the included red hose. The hose fits tightly into the valve cap, so the hand pump can hang from the device when you’re not using it. With the handball pump, I didn’t need to press the Bathmate HydroXtreme7 against my pubic bone to get proper suction.

The handball pump is well-made and gives a helpful pumping option that you usually find in just air penis pumps. However, the ball pump can be hard to squeeze, even for someone with a strong grip.

The ball is made from durable rubber and weighs 110g. From my experience, the weight is pretty unnoticeable when the Bathmate is full of water. It wasn’t a big deal when I using laying down in the bathtub, but during long sessions in the shower, the extra weight was more obvious.

It’s important not to immediately start with maximum pressure for safety reasons. The Bathmate hand ball pump is a great aspect of the HydroXtreme series, but might be intimidating for beginners. If you’re in the market for your first penis pump, consider the Hydromax model instead.

Comfort Pad Insert

The Bathmate Comfort Insert Pad is designed to make using the Bathmate pump more comfortable. It adds extra cushioning against your skin and fits into the bellow/gaiter of the HydroXtreme, but it can also be used with the Hydro and Hydromax series of pumps.

The comfort pad not only makes it more comfortable when you press the bellow onto your groin area, which you’ll do at the beginning of each pumping session, but it also helps create a better seal between the device and your skin, making the suction stronger.

There’s a small bump on one side of the comfort pad that you can line up with a similar bump on the pump to make sure the pad is in the right place and easy to use. One downside of using the comfort pad is that it makes the pump’s width about 1cm smaller when the pad is in place. Without the pad, the diameter of the Hydromax7 is about 2.36 inches but with it is 1.96 inches.

If you’re worried about not having enough room to grow, I suggest trying the HydroXtreme7 Wide Boy version. It’s made for men with a penis girth of 6.5 inches.

Carrying Case

The Bathmate carrying case has a high-quality black hard shell, a carrying strap, an extra metal hook, and a gray double zipper that can be secured with the included number-coded padlock. Inside the lid, there’s convenient netting to hold items in place and help keep things organized.

While the case has some flexibility and lacks interior cushioning, it still provides decent protection when travelling. Compared to the standard carrying case that can be bought separately, the HydroXtreme carrying case is much larger. It easily fit all my accessories that came with my pump, as well some extras I wanted.

I found it perfect for storing the shower strap and hand pump hose out of plain sight. The case doesn’t have any Bathmate branding or logo, so it could easily be mistaken for a camera case or something similar.

Shower Strap

From my perspective, the shower strap is a must-have for anyone planning to use the Bathmate HydroXtreme in the shower instead of the bath.

Penis pumps are typically heavy, and even heavier when filled with water, making it challenging to hold upright for a longer penis pumping session.

This is where the shower strap comes in handy. The strap is made of durable material that won’t deteriorate when wet. However, given the weight it will always be carrying, it lacks extra cushioning for neck comfort.

Case Lock Mechanism

The security lock included with the HydroXtreme penis pump is made of metal so the lock is quite durable, and it features a combination lock instead of a key.

This design allows for various options when setting your three-digit numeric access code. The carry case’s zipper has holes that easily accommodate the padlock, keeping your belongings safe and secure until your next session.

Hydro Pump Measuring Gauge

I genuinely enjoyed using the measuring gauge ruler, which is an imprint specially designed for the side of Bathmate penis pumps. It’s designed with silicone rubber to make it easy to grip when submerged in water.

What are the measurements on the side?

The ruler is straight and firm for precise measurements, but it can also curl or wrap up on itself for compact storage with a quick bend. One side features the Bathmate slogan and the other side displays measurement scales in both centimeters and inches.

Cleaning Sponge

The cleaning sponge is designed to reach the entire interior of the Bathmate HydroXtreme7 and is long enough for even the larger Bathmate pumps. It consists of a black plastic rod with a two-pronged grip at one end to hold a sponge.

While it’s a nice additional accessory, it’s not 100% essential. If you thoroughly wash your Bathmate penis pump with hot, soapy water, there’s no real need or reason to get this as a separate attachment.

It’s a helpful extra but not 100% necessary to keep your Bathmate pumps clean. What is important – is that you know how to clean bathmate pumps correctly to avoid side effects of using a bacteria-filled pump.

Water Pump Cleaning Spray

The Bathmate cleaning kit contains a compact spray bottle of cleaning solution made especially for water penis pumps. Although a larger 100ml sex toy cleaner is available from other sellers, I personally recommend using hot soapy water along with the Bathmate cleaning spray.

Cleaning products designed for sex toys or other pumps can do the job but I prefer to use authentic Bathmate hydro pump products because they use body safe materials. If you clean your pump after every session, this combination should be more than sufficient to keep your Bathmate device in good condition for a long time.

I have tried numerous penis pumps in the past, both air and water-based, and nothing has been as effective as the Bathmate HydroXtreme. Based on my experience, I am giving it a rating of 4.75 out of 5 stars.

By using warm water and consistent 15 minute pressure sessions 4 to 5 days a week, I experienced an increase in both erect length and girth.

You can achieve results (half an inch or more) with the more affordable models that Bathmate offers as well. A recent Bathmate users survey found that 93% of HydroXtreme users reported better erections, and 86% experienced size gains after just two months of use.
